It was a scene out of a film as Sean “Diddy” Combs dressed in prison attire, walked hand in hand with family, whileenteringthe Manhattan federal courthouse. He entered the courthouse from the side door andwalked with his family including his mom and a few kids who joined him in the court.

Diddy is currently in jail over racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and sexual assault charges. Diddy’s court trial has been set for May 2025 and prosecutors suggest that more charges will land in that time.

Sean “Diddy” is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. He was arrested on September 16. The notorious facility is known for housing high-profile inmates, has faced a series of troubling incidents, including suicides and murders.

Combs too was placed on a suicide watch. He hasapparently refused to eat at the facility for the fear of being poisoned. He’s urged the court to bring his own food from home, but the same hasn’t been accepted. His lawyers claim that Diddy is not losing hope and wants to defend himself. He wants to get to the stand and tell his story.

As for his latest appearance, Diddy appeared calm in court, leaning on his family’s support.

Diddy's trail date set for May 2025

Judge Arun Subramanian, the first Indian American to serve on Manhattan's Federal District Court, has set the trial for May 5, 2025. In addition to the trafficking charges, Diddy is also accused of using threats, violence, and secretly recorded videos of private encounters to pressure victims into more abuse.

The federal government claims to have obtained a few video tapes from Diddy’s private collection, with prosecutor Emily Johnson informing the judge that more charges may be forthcoming as the investigation is still ongoing.

Diddy’s legal team has filed for a bail for the third time. They want a pretrial release for the rapper. The rapper’s lawyers accused the government of leaking a video showing the alleged assault of Cassie, claiming it was done out of personal animosity without any financial motive.
