Squid Game creator, in an interview recently revealed that he lost almost “eight or nine” teeth due to the stress of making season 1. The South Korean show went on to become a massive fad amongst people and has now resulted in Netflix working on season 2.
The Squid Game creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told BBC in an interview that making the show was quite stressful.
Season 2 of the Squid Game will be equally difficult and competitive for the players as they will compete in literal life-or-death competitions adapted from children’s games to win huge cash prizes.

On what he hopes from the second season of the globally hit show, Hwang said, “Even though the first series was such a huge global success, honestly, I didn’t make much. So doing the second series will help compensate me for the success of the first one too. And I didn’t fully finish the story.”
Hwang has previously spoken at length about the licence fee that Netflix paid for the show. It apparently cut him out of the back-end revenues Squid Game made when it blew up as the streamer’s biggest hit in 2021.
