Kamal Haasan wished his close friend Rajinikanth speedy recovery, who is currently hospitalised. Kamal shared a message on the social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) on Tuesday evening (Oct 1).

The actor penned a note in Tamil that said, "I wish my dear friend, Superstar @rajinikanth, who is hospitalised, a speedy recovery."

Rajinikanthunderwenta non-surgical procedure on Tuesday (Oct1) because of an issue in the main blood vessel of his heart, as pernews agency PTI reports. Reports from the hospital where he is being treated said that a stent was placed to repair the swelling.

A medical bulletin from Apollo Hospitals said that Rajinikanth was now stable and should be home in a couple of days. Dr R K Venkatasalam, Director, Medical Services, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, said, "We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went as planned. Mr Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be at home in two days."

Ma Subramanian, the Tamil Nadu health minister, reported that Rajinikanth's health condition was stable. The minister had been in contact with hospital authorities since the actor's admission and had checked with the doctors that morning. Subramanian explained, "We inquired with the hospital's in-charge. They informed us that due to Rajini's celebrity status, he was advised to be admitted overnight for a routine check-up."

The actor received numerous wishes for a swift recovery. Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi expressed his support on X, stating, "I join millions of Thiru Rajnikanth's devoted fans worldwide in praying for his quick and complete recovery." Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also extended his wishes for the actor's speedy recuperation.

Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film Vettaiyan,directed by TJ Gnanavel, is scheduled for release on October 10. The movie boasts a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Following Vettaiyan,Rajinikanth is set to appear in Coolie,slated for a 2025 release.
