Ramy Youssef urges to pray for Palestine people during his SNL monologue: ‘They’re suffering’

Golden Globe winner Ramy Youssef made his hosting debut at Saturday Night Live, and like many other actors, Ramythrough his monologue sent out a lot of his views, wishes and comments that he wants the world to hear.
Ramy, who was recently seen in the Oscar-winning movie Poor Things, took the stage of the hit show at studio 8H on Saturday, and during his hosting debut, he went on to express his wish to see a trans woman sitting on the chair of President of USA, to praying for the people of Palestine and taking a cryptic dig at the Donald Trump and a sarcastic take on Joe Biden.

Mentioning the spiritual week of Ramadan and Easter, Ramy joked, ''This is an incredibly spiritual weekend. We’re in the holy month of Ramadan. Tomorrow is Easter. And yesterday, Beyoncé released a new album. There’s just so many religions celebrating all at once.”
Further, taking everyone's attention to the dire situation in Gaza, the actor went on to urge everyone to pray for the people suffering in the war-torn country.
Saying that he got a call from a friend Ahmed living in Gaza, who asked him to prey for his family stuck there.
''Ramy. They’re suffering. I don’t know where half of them are. I don’t know what to do. Please pray for them. It’s the only thing we can do,'” he recalled.
Youssef added, “So that night I go to pray and my prayers are … complicated. I’ve got a lot to fit in. My God, please, please help Ahmed’s family. Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence. Please. free the people of Palestine. Please.”

“And please free the hostages, all of the hostages, please,” he added.
Further, the actor quipped, “And while you’re at it, I mean, you know, free Mr. Bojangles. I mean he is, he’s a beautiful dog. I’m praying for that dog.”
The Ramy actor has been a very vocal supporter of the ceasefire between Israel and Gaza. And, like many celebrities, he also wore a red Artists for Ceasefire pin at the 96th Academy Awards.
Ramy wants to seea trans woman as the next president
In the monologue, Youssef didn't forget to mention the upcoming UnitedStates presidential election, as he said that he wants to see a trans woman as the next president of USA.
“I really think our next president should be a woman.I think we should have a trans woman as our next president,” he said.“A little less support, yeah. That’s New York, right? New York’s like, ‘We’re liberal, but we’re Italian. Watch out!'”
