Popular TV host Graham Norton of ‘The Graham Norton Show’ is set to replace Joanna Lumley as the host of the BAFTA Film Awards in 2020. In a statement, Graham said, “I’m honoured to be following in the fabulous footsteps of Stephen Fry and Joanna Lumley”. BAFTA CEO Amanda Berry on Graham’s role said that he “will bring his brilliance and unique brand of humour to the role.”With BAFTA 2020, Graham will make his debut in hosting film awards even though he has hosted the TV ceremony in May for BAFTA Television. He had first presented the same TV awards 15 years ago. The BAFTA 2020 ceremony will take place in the Royal Albert Hall on February 2. Among other things, it will feature the world-famous Cirque du Soleil that will perform for the fourth time. Nominations for the film awards will be announced on January 7.
