It was a night to honour and celebrate country music. On Thursday (May 16), the 2024 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards took place at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The annual award show was hosted by Reba McEntireandsaw a bevy of A-listers from the world of country music.
As expected, the night was high on music. Dua Lipa gave a mind-bending performance as she joined Chris Stapleton on stage for a duet. Post Malone made his ACM Awards debut. For his first-ever performance at the annual awards, he enthralled the audience with his unreleased single, ''I Had Some Help.'' He also gave a surprise performance with host and singer Reba McEntire.
When we are talking about country music, how we can forget Beyonce, who has made her smashing debut in country music with her latest album, Cowboy Carter. While she didn't attend the night, Raba took a moment to address the success of Queen Bey's album.
“We’re here to talk about country music and how everyone is invited and welcome here at country music’s party of the year. From Mother Maybelle to Cowboy Carter, country music is so big in 2024 that there’s room for everybody,” she said.
