
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowler Mitchell Starc bowled a ripper to dismiss SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Abhishek Sharma in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 final on Sunday (May 26) in Chennai.
It was the third ball of the first over on the length which swung to beat the edge of Sharma's bat and hit the top of off. Have a look at the video below:
The trauma didn't end there for SRH as they lost swashbuckling opener Travis Head for a golden duck in the next over with Vaibhav Arora striking in his first over. Starc also bowled the fifth over of the innings and dismissed Rahul Tripathi for the third SRH wicket in the powerplay.

SRH finished the powerplay at 40/3 but the horror continued as KKR's Harshit Rana, in his first over, removed Nitish Kumar Reddy. Next to fall was Aiden Markram as SRH lost fifth wicket for just 62 in the 11th over of the innings. Markram was removed by Andre Russell who was also bowling his first over of the night.
The spinners came into the play now as Varun Chakravarthy removed Shahbaz Ahmed and SRH became 72/6. Impact sub Abdul Samad was the next fall to Russell in the very next over as SunRisers found themselves in trouble to get bowled out before 100.
SRH's hopes now relied on Heinrich Klaasen but Rana removed him in the 15th over to bring Hyderabad to its knees.Skipper Pat Cummins then walked out to bat and added 23 runs for the ninth wicket with Jaydev Unadkat.
The partnership was broken in the 18th over when Sunil Narine trapped Unadkat LBW.The innings got done in the next over with Russell dismissing Cummins without any addition to the team total.
SRH bundled out for 113 - the lowest total ever in an IPL final.
