The stock markets rose due to broadly positive Asian indices, coupled with healthy buying in capital goods, auto, healthcare and metal stocks
Key Indian equity indices closed higher on Monday, with the barometer Sensex rising nearly 300 points.
Shares rose rebounding from their biggest weekly drop since August, but State Bank of India dropped after posting a surprise quarterly loss on Friday.
Last week on Friday, the key equities plunged into the negative territory amid a global sell-off.

The benchmark BSE Sensex closed up 0.87 percent at 34,300.47.
The broader NSE Nifty ended 0.81 percent higher at 10,539.75.
