BMW X7 Signature Edition launched: Check out price, features, performance

BMW India has launched the new X7 Signature Edition in the country, which will be exclusively available in the petrol xDrive40i variant. It will be locally produced at the company's Chennai plant. The limited edition vehicle has been priced at INR 1.33 crore (ex-showroom) and can be booked via BMW Online Shop. The design of the new BMW X7 features a more generous outward appearance and lavish surfaces which convey the notion of exclusiveness. It is easily distinguishable from its predecessor and other X models by its new progressive yet rather authoritative facade. The large kidney grille also features newly designed elaborate double bars with chrome surround. Crystal Headlamps with Swarovski glass cut crystals forward produce a special illumination.

The Aluminium Satinated Roof Rails with the Aluminium Satinated Exterior accentuates the premium quotient of the luxury Sports Activity Vehicle. Two specially designed chromed air vents flank a central air intake. Conformable with modern tendencies there is 3D taillights with a new inner graphic and connecting chrome bar covered by smoked glass look extremely eye-catching or extra bumper extension.

The car is available in two paintworks: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. The interior upholstery features BMW Individual Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery in Tartufo and Ivory White shades.

The Ambient Air Package enhances the cabin feel of spaciousness and natural light infusion, there is a Sky Lounge Panoramic glass sunroof that runs up to the third row of seating. The Sky Lounge also has over 15,000 individual light points that can be changed via the ambient light setting to form a beautiful light design. Crystal Door pins are additional decorative fixtures inside the car. Also standard are the Backrest cushions in Alcantara for the rear seat passengers. The X7 is powered by TwinPower Turbo technology petrol engine which delivers maximum power output of 381 hp and maximum torque of 520 Nm at 1,800 – 5,000 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 -100 km / hr in just 5.8 seconds. Additionally, the engine features a 48V Electrical Motor that with a power output of 12 hp and torque output of 200 Nm. The engine is offered with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. The driver can access distinct driving setups in both automatic and manual mode – Comfort, Efficient, Sport and Sport Plus.

The Driver Assistance Systems offers increased comfort and safety. Standard ADAS functions include Cruise Control, Attentiveness Assistant, Parking Assistant Professional with Surround View Camera, Drive Recorder, remote parking via smartphone and Reversing Assistant.
