Cara Delevingne is set to make her theatre debut with Cabaret on London’s West End. The supermodel will play the iconic role of Sally Bowles while Luke Treadaway will play the role of the Emcee.

The two will replace musicians Self Esteem and Jake Shears, who have essayed the roles since September last year. In 2021, Eddie Redmayne played the Emcee with Jessie Buckley as Bowles.

Cabaret is considered to be one of the most successful musicals of all time. It is set in 1929–1930 Berlin during the dusk of the Jazz Age as the Nazis were coming to prominence.

It revolves around the nightlife at a club called Kit Kat Klub and focuses on the American writer Clifford Bradshaw and his relationship with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles. Emcee is someone who keeps a tab on everything that happens at the club worth noticing.

On the role, Cara said, “There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role. I am so inspired by the brilliant actors who have played Sally in past productions around the world and in this one in the West End. I cannot wait to be a part of this brilliant cast and production.”

This is not the first time that Cara will act. We have seen her perform before in Anna Karenina, Suicide Squad and Only Murders in the Building.

As for the production, Cabaret will feature music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and book by Joe Masteroff. It is based on the 1951 play I Am a Camera by John Van Druten, which is based on the 1939 novel Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood.

Some internet trends have meaning while others are totally baseless and make no sense. We will try to make some sense of the new Slushie trend that is going viral on TikTok, a video sharing platform.

What is the Slushie trend?

It’s not a new trend but most still find it difficult to understand. Here’s everything you need to know about this. It’s a trend that sees internet users buying a slushie at a convenience store and then throwing it on large vehicles, especially trucks, so as to make messy art on them.

While a regular person would buy and drink it, these netizens are more interested in throwing them on trucks or large vehicles that have more space for their art to be visible.

Most netizens claim that you can take part in the trend if you own a “Bubba Truck,” which is a four-wheel drive pickup truck that has particularly loud exhaust or oversized tires. The videos often showcase the trucks themselves, in addition to the slushies being thrown at them.

Also, you can’t throw these on any random person’s truck because you’re supposed to own the art, make a mess and then clean it too. But some do modifications too.

These users are earning big money throwing these slushies and then cleaning them. So there’ sno real harm in these but to a layman it would feel like a waste of money (which it is).

Celebrated filmmaker James Cameron has plans of more films in the Avatar franchise. While James is still working on Avatar 3 as the film is currently in post-production and around half of Avatar 4 is still left to shoot, the filmmaker has some ideas for Avatar 6 and Avatar 7.

Ideas in place for Avatar 6 and Avatar 7

James confirmed to People magazine that he’s locked the ideas for the next set of Avatar films. He said, “We’re fully written through movie five, and I’ve got ideas for six and seven, although I’ll probably be handing the baton on at that point. Mortality catches up. But I mean, we’re enjoying what we’re doing. We’re loving it. We get to work with great people.”

Disney has the next three Avatar movies on its theatrical release calendar. The future of the franchise beyond “Avatar 5” is taking shape in his head. So this much is clear that even if James is not in charge, the franchise will continue.

As a large part of James Cameron’s life is dominated by Avatar films, he addressed the issue and said, “People are always asking us, ‘So why did you just keep working in the same…’ Why did [George] Lucas keep working in the same thing? As for the cast, Zoe Saldaña will be back as Neytiri in the next three Avatar sequels.

When the actress was recently asked about her role in the upcoming sequels, she said, “It’s going to be amazing. ‘Avatar 3,’ it’s going to be amazing, and ‘Avatar 4’ and ‘5’, it just gets crazy. It’s true. It really does. [James Cameron has] blown our mind. This is his legacy project. We all thought it was ‘Titanic’ and it turned out that ‘Avatar’ is his legacy. And for us to be a part of something so groundbreaking and trailblazing, it’s like it’s a legacy for us, too. So I’m excited to go back. We go back to work next week, so I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone.”

Last year, in an interview with People, James Cameron said that Avatar 4 features a big time jump for the characters. He said that he shot Avatar 3 and Avatar 4 concurrently with Avatar: The Way of Water to ensure age continuity among his characters.

About the time jump, he said at the time, “We see them and then we go away for six years and we come back.”

Some of the best things of the night was a first-ever Grammy performance by 80-year-old Joni Mitchell, the first single in 17 years from Billy Joel and a moving duet of Fast Car by Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs. Get ready to be moved by the story of the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and the Von Erich family as a whole as Sean Durkin’s The Iron Claw will release in India on February 9. Starring Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White in leading roles, the film will finally make ito India after its worldwide release earlier last year.

PVR INOX Pictures is bringing the biographical film to India. The Iron Claw is a sports drama film based on the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and the Von Erich family. It is a true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports.

The film is written and directed by renowned filmmaker Sean Durkin and stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, and Stanley Simons in significant roles.

The Iron Claw trailer teases the story of Fritz Von Erich (Holt McCallany), a prominent wrestler from the 60s era.

As his sons, Kevin (Zac Efron) and David (Harris Dickinson), reached a certain age, Fritz introduced them to the wrestling ring, extending his coaching to include Mike (Stanley Simons) as well.

Kerry (Jeremy Allen White), who was the youngest sibling, on the other hand, found his way to wrestling when his aspirations for the 1980 Olympics were thwarted by the US boycott.

Director Sean Durkin believes ‘The Iron Claw’ is not about grief and pain, it is about the absence of grief and what can happen when people refuse to look at their pain.

Talking about the film’s inspiration, director Sean Durkin said, “Drawing on the tradition of films that explore the tightrope of glory, loss, and American masculinity, I’ve been inspired by Raging Bull and The Deer Hunter. The Iron Claw is a movie about family, fathers and sons, and brothers. It is about finding love and learning to love yourself for who you are. It is about battling against this narrow idea of what makes a man.

He added, “It is about chasing glory and the illusions of success. It is about generational strife and questioning the lens through which we are conditioned to see the world in order to find a hopeful new future. The Iron Claw is a celebration of self-discovery, camaraderie, brotherhood, and the glory days of territorial wrestling in the US of A.”

The Iron Claw will release in India on February 9.
