A latest technology will see tattoos being used to place a device inside people’s body which can track their vital stats and even send alerts in case of potential health problems.

The technology was developed by scientists at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in the city of Daejeon. The process involves tattoos made of electronic ink made of “liquid metal and carbon nanotubes” which can be connected to biosensors.

"In the future, what we hope to do is connect a wireless chip integrated with this ink, so that we can communicate, or we can send signal back and forth between our body to an external device," project leader Steve Park, a materials science professor, said during an interview with Reuters.

The ink will work as a connector along with either some kind of biosensor or even an electrocardiogram (ECG) machine which will be keeping track of a person’s health at all times.

The technology will also allow the readings to be examined on monitors which can be placed in any location and in case of a health emergency, the device will send automatic notifications.

"When it is applied to the skin, even with rubbing the tattoo doesn't come off, which is not possible with just liquid metal," Park explained when asked about how the technology will work.

The site was closed down for further investigation and in their statement, Lundin Mining said that none of the workers present were injured or affected by the hole.

“Upon detection, the area was immediately isolated, and the relevant regulatory authorities notified. There has been no impact to personnel, equipment or infrastructure.”

In June, Macau&nbsp;experienced its worst wave of Covid infections as around 1800 people were infected and that resulted in complete lockdown of the city. While the casinos were permitted to open in late July, this is the first time that the tough restrictions will be finally lifted in the city.

Beauty salons, fitness centers, and bars too will be allowed to resume operations, the government said in a statement on Monday. However, wearing masks will remain compulsory in all public areas and most major businesses will require a negative Covid test certificate before allowing access.

“There have been no community infection cases in Macau for nine consecutive days ... and the risk of the spread of the coronavirus has been greatly reduced,” the authorities told Reuters.

According to the UN, the incident took place near the Uganda border and video evidence showed a person in police uniform and another in military uniform firing at the convoy behind a barrier in the city of Kasindi.

"This serious incident caused loss of life and serious injuries."

The incident was criticised by the local government as well as the UN but both parties did not say anything about the reason behind the shooting.&nbsp; Barthelemy Kambale Siva, the North Kivu governor's representative in Kasindi, confirmed to AFP that eight people are receiving treatment.

Kasindi has been a volatile area for quite some time and UN forces have been observing peace in the region since 1999. In 2010, UN went on to form the peacekeeping mission MONUSCO — the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The forces have not been received warmly by the locals as they continue to hold demonstrations in protest. The presence of an offensive force has stoked the fears in the local population since over the years, over 200 people have lost their lives in clashes.

Currently, Indiana allows abortions for pregnant women up to 20 weeks but under the new rules, people will have to sign an affidavit stating “rape or incest” in case of termination of pregnancy.

“Because we constrained the inner core’s age more accurately, we could explore the fact that the present-day inner core is actually composed of two parts. Plate tectonic movements on Earth’s surface indirectly affected the inner core, and the history of these movements is imprinted deep within Earth in the inner core’s structure,” added Tarduno, in the press statement.
