Australia bushfires update: Forecasters fear 'mega blaze' along New South Wales

Finland's new <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/finland-sanna-marin-34-becomes-worlds-youngest-serving-prime-minister-267052">prime minister Sanna Marin</a>, 34, has said that the country will soon introduce a four-day work week which involves six-hour days.

Marin belonging to Finland's Social Democrat had taken office in December by winning a confidence vote in Parliament replacing Antti Rinne.

PM Marin told the New Europe magazine that she believes people need to spend more time with families while adding that people needed to also look at other aspects of life including hobbies and culture.

Finland's neighbour Sweden had earlier implemented a six-hour work week back in 2015.

Interestingly, in November last year, the Indian government had suggested nine-hour working day in a draft wage code. India's Factory Act of 1948 states that an adult cannot work for more than 48 hours a week which includes not more than nine hours a day for any week.

According to a survey conducted two years ago, India was rated as the "hardest working country" with employees who work for five days a week even if they had an option to work for lesser days. Mexico was ranked second in the list.

The study conducted by US workforce management firm Kronos had said the US led with "overtime" for workers followed by India.

India's labour law mandates that if a worker does "overtime" then the person is entitled to get twice the amount of wages to the ordinary wages.

The law also says that "overtime work" should not exceed ten hours a day and 54 hours a week.

The letter comes as Iraq on Sunday voted for the expulsion of US troops amid assassination of Iran General Sulemani. The resolution passed by a special session of the Iraqi parliament said the government should cancel its request for&nbsp;assistance from a US-led coalition. Although the motion is non-binding but it is likely to go ahead with Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi himself advocating US troop pullout from the country.

After the Iraqi Parliament's decision, President Trump warned he would impose "very big sanctions" on Iraq if the country moved to expel US troops.

"If they do ask us to leave -- if we don't do it in a very friendly basis -- we will charge them sanctions like they've never seen before," Trump said.&nbsp;

However, the former US NSA had refused to testify even as his lawyer said he could provide new insights into the case.

"Bolton is an important witness to misconduct involving Ukraine that he called a 'drug deal," Schiff said. "Bolton refused to testify in the House, following Trump's orders," he said.

"Now he is willing to come forward," he said. "The Senate must allow testimony from him, Mulvaney and others. The cover-up must end," Schiff added.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is yet to allow the charges against Trump to be submitted to the Senate. Republicans hold a 53-47 majority in the Senate.

"A small angle in the axis in the rotation of the Earth or its orbit around the Sun could push the planet into serious climate changes," Putin told 1,800 journalists gathered at the Moscow press conference.

Putin, however, added that the country "must undertake maximum efforts to ensure that the climate does not change dramatically."

"For our country, this process is very serious," he said. "We will undertake efforts to minimise the consequences for our country," Putin asserted.

Putin has repeatedly said climate change was due to man-made emissions while denying several scientific data.

Russia had adopted the Paris climate accord in September last year even as the US pulled out.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had said last month that he was disappointed with the results of COP25, calling it a "lost opportunity".
