<p>A sentencing hearing for former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein over the rape of a woman in a Beverly Hills hotel room a decade ago was postponed on Monday. The Oscar-winning former producer, 70, is already serving a 23-year sentence for his 2020 conviction in New York for sex crimes.</p>

<p>He faces a possible further 18-year term in California, increasing the likelihood the 'Pulp Fiction' producer will spend the rest of his life in prison, even as he appeals both cases.</p>

<p>In the Los Angeles case, he was convicted on December 19 of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by a foreign object of a woman identified in court as "Jane Doe #1."</p>

<p>The trial heard graphic descriptions of encounters between the once-powerful producer and women who were trying to make their way in the world of movies.</p>

<p>Prosecutors painted a picture of a predatory ogre, who for years used his professional heft to rape and abuse women with impunity.</p>

<p>His victims were left terrorized and afraid for their careers if they spoke out against a man who dominated Tinseltown, prosecutors said.</p>

<p>While he was convicted in the Los Angeles case of assaulting one woman, the jury acquitted him of sexual battery involving a second.</p>

<p>They did not reach a verdict on charges relating to the alleged assaults of two other women, one of whom was identified by her lawyers as Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the now-wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom.</p>

<p>Weinstein is appealing the verdict.</p>

<p>A hearing on a defence motion for a new trial was scheduled for February 23.</p>

<p>Judge Lisa Lench said on Monday that if the motion is denied, sentencing will take place that day.<br />
In New York last June, Weinstein lost his first appeal against his verdict and sentence in the state's intermediate appellate court.</p>

<p>But he has further appealed to the higher New York Court of Appeals. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Rumours of Weinstein's behaviour had circulated in Hollywood for years, but his position at the apex of the industry meant few were prepared to challenge him.</p>

<p>That all changed in 2017 with the publication of bombshell allegations against him, ushering in the #MeToo movement and opening the floodgates for women to speak out against sexual violence in the workplace.<br />
Dozens of women have since alleged they fell victim to Weinstein's predatory behaviour.<br />

<p>One question that we often ask our nutritionists - what and how can we eat to age well - has been answered in a new study published by JAMA Internal Medicine on Monday. The study has found that a variety of healthy eating habits can lower the chance of premature death along with&nbsp;cardiovascular disease, cancer, and even respiratory illness.</p>

<p>After examining 36 years of health data collected from 75,230 women participating in the Nurses' Health Study and from 44,085 men in the Health Professionals Follow-up Study, the researchers discovered that participants who adhered to at least one of four healthy eating patterns - the Healthy Eating Index 2015 (HEI-2015), Alternative Mediterranean Diet (AMED), Healthful Plant-based Diet Index (HPDI), and Alternative Healthy Eating Index (AHEI) - were less likely to die prematurely or have major diseases.</p>

<p>All participants were free of cardiovascular disease or cancer at the beginning of the study and completed dietary questionnaires every four years. Their information was scored based on each of the four dietary pattern indexes. All share key components including whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and legumes, although other components differ across different eating patterns.</p>

<p>A higher score on at least one of the indexes was associated with a lower risk of premature death from all causes, and from cardiovascular disease, cancer, and respiratory disease. Higher scores on the AMED and the AHEI were associated with a lower risk of death from neurogenerative disease. The results were consistent for non-Hispanic white, non-Hispanic Black, and Hispanic people.</p>

Thus, it is critical to examine the associations between DGAs-recommended dietary patterns and long-term health outcomes, especially mortality,"&nbsp;said corresponding author Frank Hu, Fredrick J. Stare Professor of Nutrition and Epidemiology and chair of the Department of Nutrition.</p>

<p>"It is important to evaluate adherence to DGAs-recommended eating patterns and health outcomes, including mortality, so that timely updates can be made," Hu stated. <p>The restaurant has been serving tasteful seasonal dishes, like sika deer, game birds and reindeer with forest-scavenged mushrooms and berries, for the last two decades. The place first opened in 2003.</p>

<p>"Winter 2024 will be the last season of Noma as we know it. Noma 3.0 will be a pioneering test kitchen dedicated to the work of food innovation and the development of new flavours,"&nbsp;Rene Redzepi said in a statement.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, a statement on Noma's official website read, "Our goal is to create a lasting organization dedicated to groundbreaking work in food, but also to redefine the foundation for a restaurant team, a place where you can learn, you can take risks, and you can grow!"&nbsp;</p>

Legendary Noma restaurant to shut its doors in 2024! Here's why its journey is coming to an end

<p>On Monday, Randy Ortiz Acevedo of the popular reggaeton duo Jowell &amp; Randy was arrested by the authorities in Puerto Rico on domestic violence charges. A judge&nbsp;ruled the same day that there're sufficient evidence against the singer that proves the charges.</p>

<p>Ortiz is not required to enter a plea yet. He was detained on a $15,000 bond, prosecutor Anthony Oyola shared with the media.</p>

<p>Ortiz's publicist is yet to comment on the latest court ruling.</p>

<p>Prosecutor Oyola says the charges stem from an incident that happened on January 7. However, he declined to provide further details since it’s a domestic violence case.</p>

The NGO has donated an undisclosed amount to the horrific Delhi dragging case victim's parents so that they can manage their expenses during these tough times.</p>

<p>For those unaware, the&nbsp;20-year-old&nbsp;lost her life in a brutal hit-and-run incident&nbsp;that took place in Delhi's Kanjhawala in the early hours of January 1.</p>

<p>The aid by Meer Foundation aims to help the victim's&nbsp;mother with her health issues and&nbsp;provide adequate relief to her siblings.</p>

<p>Meer Foundation is a philanthropic foundation named after SRK's father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan. The foundation has supported several causes in the past that&nbsp;aim&nbsp;to bring change at the ground level and work&nbsp;to build a world that empowers women.</p>

Since the victim's&nbsp;leg was caught in the front wheel of the car, according to the forensics report, she was dragged away by the vehicle.&nbsp;The cause of her death is listed as shock and haemorrhage. The autopsy report further states that more than 40 external injuries may have collectively caused her&nbsp;death.</p>

<p>After the car hit the scooter, the victim's&nbsp;friend reportedly fled the scene. The victim's body was found with her clothes ripped off and her skin peeled away. As per her autopsy report, her skull was fractured, her brain matter was missing and her ribs were exposed. The driver of the car took several u-turns to dislodge the body.</p>

<p>Five accused, who were taken to Sanjay Gandhi hospital on Thursday night for medical examination, have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, causing death by negligence and criminal conspiracy.</p>
