USA: Hacker Claims Breach of US Tip Platform, Millions of Police Tips Exposed | WION

A hacker has claimed to have breached P3 Global Intel, a US-based tip intelligence platform used by law enforcement, raising major concerns over data security. The attacker alleges that more than 8 million confidential police tips were compromised, with around 93 gigabytes of data stolen. The breach was reportedly carried out using social engineering to access an account, followed by exploiting a system vulnerability. While the claims have not been fully verified, parts of the leaked data have reportedly been corroborated, intensifying concerns over the exposure of sensitive information and the safety of informants. The platform is widely used by US law enforcement agencies, schools and federal bodies, making the alleged breach a significant cybersecurity and privacy issue.
