Donald Trump continues to send conflicting signals on the war with Iran, saying the conflict could end soon while also warning Tehran it will “pay a big price.” The U.S. president has described Iran as a “nation of terror” even as questions grow over Washington’s strategy and the path to ending the war.
Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued defiant remarks, but Trump has not directly responded to them. U.S. officials, including the Treasury Secretary, say no cost will be considered “unaffordable” if it means confronting Iran, highlighting the growing geopolitical and economic stakes of the conflict.
