US president Donald trump's flip flop in recent weeks has Iran firmly in control of the strait of Hormuz. Maritime traffic through the strait has shown a slight increase, reaching its highest levels in weeks. Yet, it remains a small fraction of the volume seen before the Iran war began on February 28th.
