Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi briefed Parliament on the ongoing West Asia conflict, warning that its impact on India is “grave” and unprecedented.
Modi highlighted risks to the economy, energy supplies and global trade routes, particularly due to disruptions linked to the conflict.
At the same time, he reassured lawmakers that India has adequate energy reserves and arrangements in place to ensure continued supply of petroleum, coal and fertilisers despite the crisis.
