Shipping costs for smaller carriers have surged sharply as tensions in the Strait of Hormuz blockade continue to disrupt global maritime trade. According to reports, some insurers have raised war-risk premiums so steeply that certain contracts have increased by up to 580 million won per renewal, adding heavy financial pressure on smaller shipping firms.
