UCC final draft to be tabled in Uttarakhand assembly
Uttarakhand may soon have a Uniform Civil Code. The Uttarakhand Cabinet has approved the final draft of the Uniform Civil Code. The 800-page report was submitted by a high-level government-appointed committee. The committee, however, recommended to exempt tribal communities from the purview of the legislation.
