The United States and Israel have reportedly discussed sending special forces into Iran to secure its stockpile of highly enriched uranium during a later stage of the war. The mission could involve small special-operations teams working alongside nuclear experts — possibly including scientists from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) — to locate and secure the material.
Officials say Iran possesses roughly 450 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60%, which could potentially be converted into weapons-grade material within weeks. Reports suggest two options are being considered: removing the uranium entirely from Iran or diluting it on site with the help of nuclear experts
