Tamil Nadu seeks legal action against DK Shivakumar
The Mekedatu dam dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka has escalated. AMMK chief T V Dhinakaran on Monday urged the Tamil Nadu government to start contempt proceedings against Karnataka for allegedly continuing construction work on the Mekedatu project despite an apex court order. He also called on CM C Joseph Vijay to meet PM Narendra Modi and push for intervention to stop the Congress-led Karnataka government’s unilateral activities. The long-running water row is now back in the spotlight.
