Taliban insurgents infiltrate into key cities, Afghan forces launch counter attack

In their quest for power the Taliban insurgents are now fighting to take control over a string of cities in Afghanistan. In response to the increased US airstrikes, the insurgents are now attacking provincial cities. Meanwhile, Afghan forces have also launched a counteroffensive in Lashkar Gah.
