Kerala Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan has called for the sea to become a key driver of the state’s next phase of economic growth. Under Mission Samudra, backed by ₹400 crore in the 2026-27 Budget, Kerala plans to link its coastline, ports and water resources with transport, logistics, industries and emerging economic hubs.
