Taiwan elections 2024: Taiwan voters rebuff China, give ruling Party third Presidential term
Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China, held its general election on Saturday (Jan 13). The ruling Democratic Progressive Party's (DPP) candidate Lai Ching-te won the election after candidates of opposition parties- Hou Yu-ih of the Kuomintang (KMT) and Ko Wen-je of the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) conceded defeat.
