It's a big win for animal rights groups in Sri Lanka, after 15 years of wait, the cabinet has finally given the green light. While the welfare bill is yet to be tabled in parliament, it is still a promising start. Now some are even calling it at the beginning of Sri Lanka's animal welfare journey.
