Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the now-bankrupt Cryptocurrency Exchange FTX, is seeking a lenient sentence after his conviction for fraud and conspiracy. His lawyer argued in a sentencing submission that Bankman-Fried should receive a prison term between 5-1/4 and 6-1/2 years, significantly lower than the maximum 110-year sentence he faces.
