Rio Fashion Week Returns In Style, 30,000 Visitors Mark Cultural Comeback

Fashion Week returned to Rio de Janeiro after more than a decade, with its first public shows taking place on Wednesday (April 15) showcasing Brazilian artistry and creativity on the runway. Brazilian brand Aluf opened the second day of the event with a collection inspired by the different rhythms of time and their influence on women's lives. The Amazonian-born brand Normando, founded by stylist Marco Normando and visual artist Emidio Contente, both from the northern state of Para, presented a still-life-inspired collection featuring both female and male models, according to Brazilian media. The event aims to establish itself as a new international fixture on Brazil's fashion calendar, alongside Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
