Ratko Mladic dead: Convicted architect of Srebrenica genocide dies at 84
Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb military commander convicted of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, has died at the age of 84 while in UN custody. Often referred to as the "Butcher of Bosnia," Mladić was found guilty for his role in atrocities committed during the Bosnian War, including the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, Europe's worst mass killing since World War II.
