Over 350 mass shooting incidents in US this year alone

America, the land of the free and the home of the brave celebrated its 247th year of Independence last week. Unfortunately, the week also marked more than 350 incidents of mass shootings in America this year alone. Baltimore, Philadelphia, Fort Worth & Shreveport...city after city came under attack during the fourth of July holiday weekend. At least a dozen people lost their lives and 60 others were injured, some critically. America, once again, was left stunned, paranoid, baffled, and grieving. With more guns than inhabitants, the United States has the highest rate of gun deaths of any developed country. Surveys have established that 57% of Americans are in favour of stricter gun laws. But the Republicans, the staunch defenders of America's constitutional right to bear arms, have repeatedly, for years, opposed any effort to tighten gun control measures.
