OpenAI teams up with Kakao for AI push in Korea

OpenAI is expanding its footprint in Asia with key partnerships. In South Korea, it has joined forces with Kakao, operator of KakaoTalk, which holds a dominant 97% market share in the country’s messaging space. This partnership aims to integrate OpenAI’s technology into Kakao’s ecosystem, spanning e-commerce, payments, and gaming.
