Nepal’s peak tourism season has been derailed by the country’s deadliest protests in decades, sparked by anti-corruption outrage that led to the resignation of PM KP Sharma Oli. With 72 killed and over 2,000 injured, the unrest has left Kathmandu’s tourist hubs deserted and bookings canceled, causing a 30% drop in arrivals compared to last year.
