Narendra Modi has taken oath as India's prime minister for a historic third consecutive term on Sunday (June 9) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the national capital New Delhi. Today's event is extraordinary as Modi is the only leader after former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru who has been elected for a third consecutive term after completing the full tenure of each previous terms. BJP leaders Hardeep Singh Puri, Kiren Rijiju, Annapurna Devi, Bhupender Yadav and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took oath.
