The United Arab Emirates' Consul General has emphasised that in order to achieve game-changing results at the United Nations climate summit that it will host later this year, the fossil fuel industry must also be present at the table. The inclusion of the oil and gas law at earlier rounds of negotiations has drawn criticism and been criticised by environmental activists.
