A recent report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Kantar highlights a significant shift in how Indians access the Internet. Nearly 45% of the rural population, or 665 million people, still lack internet access. However, there is a growing preference for local languages. 57% of internet users in rural areas now choose to access the web in their native tongue, with Hindi leading the pack.
