A significant step toward de-escalation in the Middle East is underway. Following weeks of diplomatic efforts, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are set to begin a phased, gradual withdrawal from designated "pilot zones" in southern Lebanon. This move, part of a U.S.-brokered framework agreement, will see the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) take over security responsibilities in these cleared areas.
