The Guardian Council has approved the Hijab and Chastity Bill and this comes almost a year after it was passed in the parliament. The law will impose an area of penalties including heavy cash fines and prison terms on people especially women for violating the country's mandatory dress code that has been in place since the 1979 Revolution.
