India’s Union Cabinet has approved the PAN 2.0 project, a transformative initiative by the income tax department with a financial outlay of 170 million dollars. Announced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, this project aims to fully upgrade the existing PAN system, integrating PAN, TAN, and TIN into a unified framework.
