Spring has arrived in Srinagar as the historic Badamwari Garden opens its gates for the annual almond blossom festival. The garden, known for its centuries-old almond trees, comes alive each year with pink and white blossoms that signal the beginning of spring in Kashmir.
The festival draws locals, tourists and photographers who gather to witness the blooming almond orchards and celebrate the seasonal transition. Authorities organise cultural events and public visits as part of the spring festivities.
Badamwari, located at the foothills of Koh-e-Maran in Srinagar’s old city, has long been associated with Kashmir’s traditional celebration of spring.
