India & Indonesia become military partners & sign BrahMos deal amid Chinese threat in Indo-Pacific
Amid the geopolitical tug-of-war in the Indo-Pacific, India and Indonesia bolstered their comprehensive strategic partnership by signing major defence deals. Indonesia agreed to purchase BrahMos missile system from India and also inked an MoU on air-to-air missile cooperation agreement. Besides this, both sides will explore the modalities of jointly developing the strategic Sabang port, which may give India enhanced access in the Indo-Pacific.
