India is reportedly building a Naval base at Minicoy, just over 450 kms from the Maldives's capital city Male. India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to travel to Minicoy in March to inaugurate INS Jatayu. What does the new base mean for India? What about the Maldives and China?
