At least 48 people have been killed in fresh clashes in Syria as security forces battle gunmen loyal to Bashar al-Assad. Fighting erupted in Latakia, and Syrian forces have arrested an ex-officer suspected of multiple killings. Meanwhile, Turkish President Erdogan claims over 133,000 Syrians have left since Assad’s fall.
