More than 10% of FedEx's managers will be laid off globally as the shipping giant strives to reduce expenses in the face of escalating economic concerns and a dwindling need for package delivery. The Memphis-based corporation, which had about 550,000 employees worldwide as of December, remained mum on the number of positions that would be eliminated.
