In Taiwan, authorities suspect that a Chinese-owned vessel damaged an undersea internet cable North-East of the island. On Friday, Taiwan's Coast guard briefly detained the Cameroon-registered vessel Shunxing 39 on suspicion of it having dragged its anchor over an international subsea cable.
