A stunning lunar eclipse was visible across much of the Americas, turning the Moon a deep red as Earth's shadow covered most of its surface. Skywatchers in Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro, and Bolivia's high-altitude capital of La Paz gathered to witness the celestial spectacle. The phenomenon, often called a "Blood Moon," occurs when sunlight passing through Earth's atmosphere casts a reddish glow on the Moon during an eclipse.
