12 Palestinians killed and over 100 injured in Israeli army raid
Tel Aviv launched its biggest operation in the northern West bank city of Jenin early on the 3rd of July. Fierce gunbattles broke out between the Israeli troops and the Palestinian militants which continued until Israeli troops withdrew on Tuesday night. 12 Palestinians died and about 100 were injured, 20 of them critically, in Israeli army's biggest assault in two decades. Thousands have been forced to flee their homes. Tel Aviv calls Jenin "a city of refuge for terrorism" while the Palestinians have accused Israel of war crimes. In what was described as "first response" by the Islamic Jihad, seven Israelis were wounded in a car-ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday. International community fears that Palestinian cities in the West Bank will see more intensive military attacks and security crackdowns in the coming days. Mohammed Saleh brings you this report.
