The WHO chief called on G20 countries that have already vaccinated 40 per cent of their population to actively engage in the COVAX mechanism, as well as the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT).

The new island roughly measures around 30 metres (100ft) across and has a peak of about three metres. It also consists of seabed mud as well as moraine – soil and rock left behind by moving glaciers. &nbsp;

According to the team, it should be named “Qeqertaq Avannarleq”, which means “the northernmost island” in Greenlandic.&nbsp;

The services the activists provide to fellow sex workers include, negotiating access to brothels, conducting gender rights training, offering legal and health counselling, reporting experiences of violence, and campaigning for freedom of movement and free choice of employment for those seeking to leave sex work. This is because police surveillance increased after they became known for their human rights work.

The list, which was last updated on September 22, 2020, includes Montserrat, Saint Helena, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, United States Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands (Malvinas), Turks and Caicos Islands, French Polynesia, American Samoa, Guam, Pitcairn, New Caledonia, Tokelau, etc. &nbsp;

The list says New Zealand, United Kingdom, France and United States are some of the countries, which hold these territories. &nbsp;

During the inception of UN, around some 750 million people, which was nearly a third of the world's population, used to live in territories dependent on colonial powers. &nbsp;

Born with the UN, the wave of decolonisation changed the face of the planet. It is also one of the world body’s biggest successes. &nbsp;

Due to the decolonisation, around 80 former colonies have gained independence. It also includes all 11 Trust Territories, which achieved self-determination through independence or free association with an independent state. &nbsp;

As of now, the special committee formed by the world body continues to monitor the situation in the remaining 17 territories. It is working to facilitate their advance towards complete self-determination.&nbsp;

As per a statement from the port, all the inbound and outbound container services at Meishan terminal in Ningbo-Zhoushan port were halted Wednesday until further notice due to a “system disruption".
