Dr. Clancy James, lead researcher and associate professor at Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy, told New Scientist, "We thought we might've found a new pulsar or a never-before-seen object. Instead, we saw an incredibly powerful radio pulse that eclipsed everything else in the sky for a split second." Scientists traced it back to the dead satellite that was passing overhead. The intensity of the radio signal was measured at more than three million janskys - 100 billion times stronger than the radio signals from a smartphone. Because of its strength and short duration, it was assumed to be coming from a cosmic object in deep space. The black hole formed just 3 billion years after the universe was born. The particles released by the jet are boosting the cosmic microwave background into powerful X-rays. The discovery was made by NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, which detected not just one, but two black holes with jets from the early universe because of the faint afterglow they carry from the Big Bang. The two quasars are - J1610+1811 and J1405+0415.&nbsp;The particles in the jet from J1610+1811 are travelling at 92 per cent to 98 per cent of the speed of light. The jet is so powerful that it is carrying roughly half as much energy as the intense light from hot gas orbiting the black hole. This output is staggering and equivalent to that from 10 trillion suns, the study states. Meanwhile, the second jet is moving at between 95 per cent and 99 per cent of the speed of light."These quasars are like cosmic time capsules," Maithil said. It has now released photos of the event showing the mind-boggling phenomenon created using two spacecraft that were launched last year. They are on display at the Paris Air Show &nbsp;where the spacecraft can be seen reacing a particular position with the Sun in the background.&nbsp;ESA had launched the two spacecraft last year as part of the £208 million Proba-3 mission to learn about the Sun's corona and solar storms. NASA has upped the chances of asteroid 2024 YR4 hitting the Moon in 2032 from 3.8 to 4.3 per cent.
