He said that the exit gate was small, only four feet and there were a lot of people. "I was worried about the security of my wife and son. My wife suffered a fracture in her leg," the man said.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We had just left the area when the shooting began,&rdquo; the husband said, his voice trembling. &ldquo;We could hear the firing for a long time.&nbsp;
"Everyone was aiming to get out as quickly as possible. It was chaos," he added.&nbsp;
They described how they were pushed and shoved by the crowd while they were trying to flee.&nbsp;

"We were running for our lives, falling on people, trying not to look back," his wife said. "My son and husband pulled me up, trying to keep me on my feet as we made our way out. It felt like the whole world was collapsing around us."
However, the wife suffered a fracture while trying to escape. The man said that his wife got hurt.&nbsp;
"My only goal was to get us out of there and to safety. We&rsquo;re now heading back, as the doctor advised her to take complete bed rest,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;
The couple explained that there was an estimated 4000 to 5000 people were gathered there, including tourists and small children.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We didn&rsquo;t turn back or look at who was firing. We were just focused on getting out of there alive,&rdquo; the wife said.

WION learned that the strike was a coordinated attack by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Majeed Brigade and Special Unit Fateh Squad. The BLA has claimed responsibility for the attack.&nbsp;
The buses were first hit by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), followed by RPGs being launched. After this, a vehicle-borne IED or suicide bomber rammed into the convoy. The second and third buses came under attack with a VBIED and a direct rocket attack.&nbsp;
A counteroperation has been launched by the Pakistani military in which two BLA militants have been killed so far. The search and rescue operation is underway.

The convoy included seven civil hired buses and four security personnel cars and was travelling from Quetta to Taftan on the Pakistan-Iran border. They were transporting a detachment of Taftan Rifles to their Forward Coy Location from Quetta, which was led by a Lt Col in unmarked vehicles.
The buses were carrying 40-45 pax per vehicle, which were completely gutted and destroyed as seen in the footage released by BLA and the Pakistan military.

The recent convoy attack comes just days after a passenger train was hijacked in the Balochistan province. On Tuesday (Mar 11), the BLA attacked the Jaffar Express and took over 450 passengers hostage. The Pakistani authorities confirmed on Wednesday (Mar 12) that they have concluded the train hijack operation, killing all 33 Baloch militants.
According to the Pakistan military spokesperson, 21 civilians were killed, while four Frontier Corps personnel lost their lives.

A 60-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman are also in serious condition, both having sustained head injuries. While the man is sedated and breathing with the help of a ventilator, the woman is fully conscious.
Another 18-year-old woman was moderately injured in the attack, while six others sustained light injuries, paramedics added.&nbsp;
<h2>Who is the suspect?</h2>
Police confirmed the terrorist who carried out the car-ramming attack near Karkur Junction has been identified as Jamil Zayoud, a 53-year-old Palestinian from Jenin. He was killed in the incident.

A Georgia student was critically injured in the attack, the university's president announced.&nbsp;Notre Dame announced that all team personnel had been accounted for.&nbsp;The two teams are vying for a spot in the college football playoff semifinals.

Blasts outside the Supreme Court in the capital Brasilia are being treated as a "terrorist act," Brazil's federal police director Andrei Passos Rodrigues said Thursday.

The two explosions, set off by a man who died during a failed attack late Wednesday, could have also been a violent attempt to overthrow "democratic rule of law," Rodrigues told a news conference.

"This is not an isolated act," he warned, adding that the attack was planned over a long period.

The perpetrator was identified as Francisco Wanderley Luiz, a 59-year-old member of the far-right Liberal Party (PL) of former president Jair Bolsonaro, whose supporters in January 2023 sought to violently take control of democratic institutions in Brasilia after the return to power of left-wing President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Around 7:30 pm (2230 GMT) on Wednesday, Luiz drove a bomb-laden car towards the Supreme Court, according to officials.&nbsp;

After fuses in the car caught fire, causing an initial blast that did not set off attached explosives, Luiz was seen exiting the vehicle and running towards the court entrance.

Seconds later, another blast occurred, killing Luiz in front of the court. His body, found to be carrying what appeared to be a detonator, lay on the ground overnight until specialist police rendered it safe to be removed early Thursday.

Authorities said Luiz had been a candidate for Bolsonaro's PL in local elections in 2020 but did not win a mandate.&nbsp;

Luiz had been present in Brasilia on January 8, 2023, when Bolsonaro supporters stormed the Supreme Court, the Congress, and the presidential palace in Brasilia, but it was not known if he had taken part in the insurrection, according to Rodrigues.

The buildings of those three branches of government front onto a square called the Praca dos Tres Poderes (the Place of the Three Powers), which was the scene of Wednesday night's failed bomb attack.
