The interior minister condemned the attack,&nbsp;saying that&nbsp;two terrorists were neutralised. There were also reports of hostages being taken.&nbsp;

The minister called the incident&nbsp;a "terrorist attack".&nbsp;

"Two terrorists were neutralised in the terrorist attack targeting the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) Ankara Kahramankazan facilities. Unfortunately, we have 3 martyrs and 14 injured in the attack," Turkey's interior minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a post on X.

The Turkish media later reported that the toll had risen to four.

TUSAS is one of Turkey's most important defence and aviation companies. It produces KAAN, the country's first national combat aircraft, among other projects.

“Our nation should know that the dirty hands reaching out to Turkey will definitely be broken; no structure, no terrorist organisation, no evil focus targeting our security will be able to achieve their goals,” he said in a post on X.

Meanwhile, Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler blamed the Kurdish militant group PKK for the attack.

Terror attack at Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara; 4 killed, 14 injured

Two Indian Army soldiers and two porters were killed&nbsp;Thursday (Oct 24) after their vehicle was attacked by terrorists near Botpathri in Gulmarg, Kashmir,&nbsp;close to the Line of Control (LoC), the de-facto border between India and Pakistan.&nbsp;The vehicle belonged to the 18 Rashtriya Rifles (RR).

The vehicle was on the way from Botpathri when the terrorists launched an attack.

One terrorist has also sustained injury. Police have confirmed the incident in a statement.

The two killed civilian porters have been identified as&nbsp;Mushtaq Ahmed Choudhary R/o Nowshehra Boniyar, Baramulla, and&nbsp;Zahoor Ahmad Mir R/o Barnate Boniyar, Baramulla. Further information is awaited.

Responding to the incident, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti took to X and wrote, “Shocked &amp; deeply saddened by the militant attack on an army convoy in Baramulla in which a civilian porter has been killed. Condemn it unequivocally &amp; pray for the swift recovery of the injured soldiers.”

The attack came hours after J&amp;K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and presented a cabinet resolution advocating for the reinstatement of J&amp;K’s statehood.

Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed a drastic surge in terror attacks over the past few months. On Oct 20, terrorists waged a deadly attack at a construction site in Ganderbal, killing at least seven people, including six labourers.

The attackers, believed to be two, opened indiscriminate fire on the group, comprising both locals and non-locals.

Two labourers died on the spot, whereas the doctor and four other labourers were pronounced dead later. Five people were critically injured and are undergoing treatment now.

According to media reports, the attack was carried out by the terrorist group The Resistance Front (TRF), which is an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

In a similar attack on October 18, a migrant worker from Bihar was killed in Shopian district.

The bullet-riddled body of the worker was found by locals in the Waduna area of Zainapora in Shopian.

Later, officials identified the victim as Ashok Chauhan, who was living in the Sangam area of Anantnag.

After the attack, he ensured that the hotel's iconic dome was restored and the damaged areas were opened within 21 months.

He also pledged to take care of the families of employees who were killed or injured in the tragic incident and paid the salaries to the kin of those killed, equalling the amount they would have earned for the rest of their lives, as per the BBC report.&nbsp;

As reported by the&nbsp;Deccan Herald, Ratan Tata had gone to the homes of victims and ensured their well-being.

In a few months, The Taj Public Service Welfare Trust (TPSWT) was also formed by the Tata Group to provide humanitarian support during disasters.

Recalling the event later, Tata said, "About 37 or 40 in our hotel were shot and killed for no reason. And then it became an issue that you stand by it and let this happen or go into the midst of what was like a war zone and stand with your employees and go to the homes of people who were killed."

Those instances stand out as being challenging moments in one’s career," he added.

Uganda sentenced an Islamic State-linked group member to 10 years over a thwarted terror attack on the funeral of a top army commander three years ago, an official confirmed to AFP on Tuesday.

Rashid Katumba arrested in August 2021 was in possession of explosives in the northern town of Pader on the eve of the funeral for Major General Paul Lokech, nicknamed the "Lion of Mogadishu".

President Yoweri Museveni blamed the plot on the Islamic State-linked Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which emerged in Uganda in 1996 but has been active in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo for decades.

The International Crimes Division of Uganda's high court handed down the sentences for Katumba, as well as two other defendants Luyenjje Najjimu and Arafat Jamil Kiyemba in the capital Kampala on August 23.

"Upon their own plea of guilty, Katumba was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in jail" for his involvement in the attempted funeral attack, Jacquelyn Okui, spokeswoman for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, told AFP Tuesday.

"The terrorists are holed up in a riverine in Assar," an official said.

The terrorists crossed into Doda from a forest near Patnitop in adjacent Udhampur district after a brief exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists there, they said.

According to officials, security forces established contact with the terrorists around 6 pm in Udhampur on Tuesday. The encounter began about half an hour later and continued intermittently until both sides paused. A cordon was established overnight.
