<p>The producers of ‘Saturday Night Live’ are now thinking of ways to resume in-studio filming for the show’s 46th season.</p>

<p>The last studio show was aired on March 7. Post that, due to coronavirus, the makers put out three at-home episodes in April and May. There is no news of when Saturday Night Live could return but makers are hopeful that it will be soon. It definitely has to bounce back for the run-up to the presidential election.</p>

<p>NBC has not commented on the same but a report in Variety states that in-studio show might happen pretty soon since the number of coronaviru cases in New York have been much lower in the past month than when they are peak in the month of April.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When they get a go-ahead for an in-studio show, it is unlikely that the entire cast and crew will return for shooting. Also, live audiences will not be a part of the show for sometime.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Only a few productions, among them CBS' daytime drama ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, have returned to studio production.</p>

<p>Comedienne Rosie O&#39;Donnell says that if asked she will be onboard to play US President Donald Trump&#39;s chief strategist Steve Bannon on &quot;Saturday Night Live&quot; (SNL).</p>

<p>SNL is a decades-old late night comedy show that airs on Saturday nights. It&#39;s a fixture of mainstream&nbsp;American late night&nbsp;television and pop culture.</p>

<p>In a series of tweets, the 54-year-old actress rose up to the task to play the said character if situation arises. &quot;...I am here to serve - Alec has Trump - Melissa has Spice - I would need a few days to prepare - so if called - I will be ready,&quot; Rosie tweeted.</p>

<p>She also wrote, &quot;#BannoninChief&quot; and later tweeted, &quot;available ? if called I will serve!!!&quot;</p>

Comedienne Rosie O'Donnell says that if asked she will be onboard to play US President Donald Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon on "Saturday Night Live" (SNL). SNL is a decades-old late night comedy show that airs on Saturday nights. It's a fixture of mainstream American late night television and pop culture. In a series of tweets, the 54-year-old actress rose up to the task to play the said character if situation arises. "...I am here to serve - Alec has Trump - Melissa has Spice - I would need a few days to prepare - so if called - I will be ready," Rosie tweeted. She also wrote, "#BannoninChief" and later tweeted, "available ? if called I will serve!!!" This development took place after one of the users asked her if she would be ready for it, after Melissa McCarthy playing White House press secretary, Sean Spicer to the T. Bannon is currently being portrayed as the Grim Reaper on SNL. Donald Trump has had an ongoing feud with Rosie O'Donnell for years. She has, correctly, said that Donald Trump is "not a self-made man", and called him a "snake oil salesman." She has claimed, also correctly, that he went bankrupt. Responding to the claims of bankruptcy, Trump said: "I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements -- and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie." Amid reports in Western media that Steve Bannon is controlling President Trump, and that Trump is "rattled" to be perceived as not fully in charge, Bannon being played by sworn enemy O'Donnell has real pontential to anger Donald Trump. Trump has criticised SNL repeatedly in Tweets, especially Alec Baldwin's impersonation of Trump. Trump was blasted for being a misogynist and a sexual predator after an audio clip emerged of him bragging about grabbing women "by the pussy", and women around the world have taken a prominent role in protesting against him. The Women's March was attended by millions of people around the world. There were reports that the Melissa McCarthy impression didn't just anger Trump because of the way it depicted Spicer, but because McCarthy is a woman. <p>Spicer does not make this job look easy. He made headlines after the first press conference of Trump&#39;s presidency was devoted to attacking the media for accurately portraying the crowd size at Trump&#39;s presidential&nbsp;inauguration as being vastly smaller than Obama&#39;s.</p>

<p>Defending Trump entails making enormous gaps of logic in an angry manner, and McCarthy had this in spades.</p>

<p>It can be dangerous to do comedy on the topic of Trump:&nbsp;There&#39;s a risk of laughing off something dangerous, or appearing eager to simply get attention by covering a&nbsp;trending topic.&nbsp;But McCarthy got big laughs portraying the absurdity of this presidency&nbsp;without diminishing it as a&nbsp;threat.&nbsp;<em>That </em>is truly hard to pull off.</p>
